Winter Weather Advisory for Marquette County, Michigan
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Marquette County, Michigan.
Lake effect snow expect to intensify this morning. Look for the heaviest snow and strongest winds around 7 AM to 11 AM EST. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected, with the highest snowfall amounts expected across the higher terrain and far eastern portions of Marquette County near Skandia.
Near the Lake Superior shoreline, generally 2 to 4 inches are expected. Further inland, from Republic to Gwinn to McFarland, lesser amounts are expected. North winds will gust upwards of 25 to 30 mph, especially near the Lake Superior shoreline, this morning resulting in areas of blowing snow.
The advisory remains in effect until 4 PM this afternoon.
