Winter Storm Warning in Southeastern Wyoming
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning in Southeastern Wyoming, USA.
Heavy snow and winds gusting as high as 55 mph are expected iin the forecast area. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 20 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts of up to 2 feet at ridge top lever.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Winter driving conditions can be expected. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. The hazardous conditions could impact commutes through the entire warning period. Power lines could be impacted by the persistent moderate to heavy snowfall rates.
The alert area covers: Central Carbon County; Central Laramie Range and Southwest Platte County; Converse County Lower Elevations; East Platte County; Ferris, Seminoe, Shirley Mountains; Laramie Valley; Niobrara County; North Laramie Range; North Snowy Range Foothills; Shirley Basin; Sierra Madre Range; Snowy Range; South Laramie Range; Southwest Carbon County and Upper North Platte River Basin.
The warning remains in effect from early Wednesday morning to 6 PM Thursday, 3/14/2019.
