Winter Storm Warning in Northern New York
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning in Northern New York, USA.
Heavy snow, sleet and gusty winds as high as 35 mph are expected in the forecast area. Total snow and sleet accumulation of 8 to 15 inches are expected, with the highers amounts across northern New York.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. The hazardous conditions will impact commutes through the entire warning period. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
The alert area covers Eastern Clinton; Eastern Essex; Northern Franklin; Northern St. Lawrence; Southeastern St. Lawrence; Southern Franklin; Southwestern St. Lawrence; Western Clinton; Western Essex.
The warning remains in effect from 1 PM Tuesday, 2/12/2019, to 4 PM Wednesday, 2/13/2019.
