Winter Storm Warning in Northern Arizona

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning in Northern Arizona
Periods of moderate to heavy snow  is expected or occurring in the forecast area. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 7 inches are expected.
The visibility is expected to be suddenly reduced this afternoon due to gusty southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Winter driving conditions can be expected. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. The hazardous conditions could impact commutes through the entire warning period. Power lines could be impacted by the persistent moderate to heavy snowfall rates.
The alert area covers Chuska Mountains and Defiance Plateau.
The warning remains in effect until 5 PM this afternoon.
