Winter Storm Warning for Quebec
Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Quebec.
Hazardous winter conditions are expected in the warned area
A low pressure system from the Great Lakes will bloom as a genuine storm as it reaches the Maine coast tonight. Snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 centimeters are expected by Wednesday evening. The highest amounts are expected Wednesday. Moreover, this storm will be accompanied by strong winds which will give blowing snow on Wednesday.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
The alert area covers La Malbaie area; Baie-Saint-Paul area; Montmagny - Saint-Jean-Port-Joli area; Saint-Fabien - Saint-Pamphile area.
