Winter Storm Warning for Hitchcock and Dundy Counties
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Hitchcock and Dundy Counties, Nebraska.
Heavy snow is occurring in the warned area. Additional snow accumulation of 2 to 5 inches are expected.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: 4 to 5 inches of snow have already fallen between the Highway 36 and Highway 34 corridors. Slideoffs have already occurred as the slush freezes. Be prepared for visibility under a mile in the falling snow.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
The warning remains in effect until noon Thursday.
