Wildfire near Soap Lake, Washington



Over 20000 acre wildfire erupts near Soap Lake.The firefighters are battling with a wildfire that erupted this Sunday near Soap Lake, Washington. 

The fire starts around 9:30 Sunday morning and burned on land mostly dry cheat grass and scrub brush. The local fire department  worked to control the fire. State resources were aproved for the fire, allowing available  throughout the state to assist when and where needed. A helicopter and two fixed wing aircraft are assigned to stop the fire

The officials don't have any specific information about how the fire started.

No evacuation orders were given.

The fire is burning near Whitehall Road and Road 7 Southeast, eight miles south of state Route 2.

No homes have been damanged.
