Vanuatu Volcano eruption
Officials declared a state of emergency after the Vanuatu volcano is threatening with eruption.
The Government ordered the evacuation as the volcano Monaro Voui, smothers the island is ash and acid rain. Georgewin Garae, the head of the island provincial government, said that the local residents who had left had done so on boats or planes. The rest who remains are waiting for the government evacuation in evacuation centers, which will start in earnest this Sunday.
The volcanic alert at the crater is at level four and warnings include gas, acid rain and ash, and lava bombs. Access to clean drinking water has been compromised by the acidic ash fall.
The volcano is showing no signs of settle down. A large series of eruption on Friday night frightened everyone on the island.
