South Dakota: Flood Warning for McCook County
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for McCook County, South Dakota, USA.
Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated rainfall totals between 3 and 5 inches across the warning area since the start of rain Wednesday morning. This excessive rain is causing flooding of area streams, creeks, and drainage areas. In some areas, road closures will be possible due to the runoff from heavy rainfall.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...Sioux Falls, Luverne, Canton, Rock Rapids, Parker, Lake Vermillion State Recreation Area, Brandon, Harrisburg, Tea, Hartford, Lennox, Crooks, Garretson, Wall Lake, Baltic, Worthing, Larchwood, Inwood, Marion and Viborg.
The warning remains in effect until Friday evening, 06/22/2018, at 8 PM.
