High Surf Advisory in the Los Angeles area
The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Advisory in the Los Angeles area, USA.
Breakers between 10 and 13 feet will develop across west to northwest facing beaches along the Central Coast early Monday morning and continue through midday Thursday. Local sets up to 15 feet are possible at times Tuesday and Wednesday.
IMPACTS: There is an increased risk for ocean drowning as rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks and capsize small boats near shore.
The alert area covers San Luis Obispo County Central Coast; Santa Barbara County Central Coast.
The advisory remains in effect from 3 AM Monday to noon Thursday, 3/14/2019.
