Flood Warning for Bastrop County, Texas
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for Bastrop County, Texas.
The flood warning continues for the Colorado River At Bastrop.
Moderate flooding is forecast. The Colorado River is forecast to rise above flood stage by Saturday evening and continue to rise to near 26.5 feet by Saturday before midnight. The Colorado River will fall below by Sunday morning.
IMPACT: At 27.0 feet, moderate lowland flooding below Austin to below Smithville threatens homes above Smithville in the Doty River, Hidden Valley, and Pecan Shores Estates subdivisions. Livestock should be moved from vulnerable areas of the flood plain. Low roads and bridges in the flood plain are flooded and dangerous to motorists.
