Flash Flood Watch in Texas
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch in Texas, USA.
Numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms will develop Friday as a weak cold front stalls over the northern Brush Country.
Deep moisture will allow for heavy rainfall at times. A strong upper level disturbance will send a cold front through the region Friday night. Interacting with the anomalously high moisture over the region, showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over this region. Expect average rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches, with isolated amounts near 6 inches through Saturday morning.
The alert area covers Aransas Islands; Bee; Calhoun Islands; Coastal Aransas; Coastal Calhoun; Coastal Refugio; Goliad; Inland Calhoun; Inland Refugio; La Salle; Live Oak; McMullen; Victoria.
The flood watch is in effect from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning, 12/08/2018.
