Flash flood watch for Maryland
A flash flood watch is in effect for Maryland, US starting 3pm on Tuesday, till Wednesday 1am.
Severe thunderstorms pose a threat, together with damaging wind gusts and large hail.
The most affected areas are : Arundel, Carroll, Central and Eastern Allegany, Central and Southeast Howard, Central and Southeast Montgomery, Extreme Western Allegany, Frederick MD, Northern Baltimore, Northwest Harford, Northwest Howard, Northwest Montgomery, Southeast Harford, Southern Baltimore, and Washington Counties.
Flooding is likely to result in difficult driving conditions and possible some road closures, as well as delays or cancellations to train and bus services.
Homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
Power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services.
Some damage to trees and other structures may occur.
