Flash Flood Warning in Northwest South Carolina
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning in Northwest South Carolina
Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated the as much as 3 inches of rain had fallen since last night in portions of the warned area. Additional and occasionally heavy tropical rain bands are forecast to redevelop along the I-85 corridor. Urban flooding across greater Greenville and Spartanburg is likely to worsen this morning. Rivers and Creeks, especially the Reedy, Enoree, Saluda and Pacolet basins and their tributaries may flood.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...Greenville Downtown, Spartanburg, Greenville Eastside, West Greenville, Greer, Mauldin, Taylors, Simpsonville, Berea and Five Forks.
The alert area covers Greenville and Spartanburg counties
The warning remains in effect until 12:45 PM.
