Flash Flood Warning for Yadkin and Surry Counties

The National Weather service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Yadkin and Surry Counties, North Carolina, USA.
Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen since yesterday in some locations within the warned area. The additional rainfall moving through currently is associated with the outer circulation of Tropical Storm Michael. The rainfall will increase in intensity and coverage through the morning and persist for an extended period of time. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Some locations that will experience flooding include, Mount Airy, Elkin, Fairview, Flat Rock and Yadkinville.

The warning remains in effect until 2:15 PM.
