Flash Flood Warning for Kern County, California
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Kern County, California.
At 532 AM PST, local law enforcement reported flash flooding at the intersection of Garlock Road and Redrock-Randsburg Road.
Moderate rainfall is expected to persist in this area through the next couple of hours, which will exacerbate the flooding issue.
Some locations that will experience flooding includes: Ridgecrest, China Lake Acres, Inyokern, Indian Wells Canyon and Laurel Mountain.
Excessive rainfall over the warned area will cause mudslides near steep terrain. The mudslide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
The warning remains in effect until 7:45 AM, this morning.
