FINAL UPDATE: Power has been restored. Firefighters are still monitoring the transformer, but have declared that another explosion is unlikely.

UPDATE 2: The main fire has been extinguished, but firefighters are still on the scene, monitoring a fire burning inside a transformer. 5,600 homes are still without power.

UPDATE: More than 40 firefighters are struggling to put out the blaze.

The following suburbs are without electricity: Torrensville, Thebarton, Hindmarsh, Brooklyn Park, Flinders Park, Ebenezer Place, Allenby Gardens, Lockleys, Mile End, Underdale, Mile End South, Modbury

A fire broke out near a brewery in the West End of Adelaide, Australia. Fire crews are on the scene, as the large amount of smoke is becoming a threat.

Traffic is closed on West Thebarton Road and Phillips Street.

6,000 homes are without power.

There are no reports of injuries as of yet.
