Excessive Heat Warning issued in Southern Arizona
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning in Southern Arizona, USA.
High temperatures, between 106 and 111 degrees will occur over the warned area.
Hot temperatures of 105 degrees and above will significantly increase the potential for heat related illness. Those working or participating in outdoor activities during the afternoon hours or those without access to adequate air conditioning will be most at risk.
The alert area includes South Central Pinal County including Eloy, Picacho Peak State Park, Tohono O'odham Nation including Sells, Tucson Metro Area including Tucson, Green Valley, Marana, Vail, Upper Gila River and Aravaipa Valleys including Clifton, Safford, Western Pima County Including Ajo, Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.
The warning remains in effect until Friday evening, 06/22/2018.
