Excessive Heat Warning issued in Nevada
The National weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning in Nevada, USA.
In Las Vegas and Pahrump, the temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 110 and 115 degrees. Along the Colorado River Valley, the temperatures are expected to exceed 115 degrees and in Death Valley, the temperature can reach to 125 degrees.
Hot temperatures of 105 degrees and above will significantly increase the potential for heat related illness. Those working or participating in outdoor activities during the afternoon hours or those without access to adequate air conditioning will be most at risk.
The alert area includes Esmeralda and Central Nye County, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Las Vegas Valley, Lincoln County, Northeast Clark County, Southern Clark County, Western Clark and Southern Nye County.
The warning remains in effect until Saturday evening, 06/23/2018.
