Excessive heat warning in the California Desert

 

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning in the California Desert, USA.

High temperatures, between 110 and 114 degrees are expected over the warned area.

Hot temperatures of 105 degrees and above will significantly increase the potential for heat related illness. Those working or participating in outdoor activities during the afternoon hours or those without access to adequate air conditioning will be most at risk.

The alert area includes Chiriaco Summit, Chuckwalla Valley and Imperial Valley.

 

The warning remains in effect until Friday evening, 06/22/2018.
